Butler Sherborn was founded in September 1991 by Sam Butler and David Sherborn Hoare from a small office in Burford. The partnership grew for the next few years based on the trade of Estate Agency, Residential Lettings, Estate and Land Management and Property Consultancy.

In May 1995 we opened a second office in Tetbury, Gloucestershire which focused mainly on Estate Agency and Residential Lettings.

A third office was opened in April 1996 in Stow-on-the-Wold when Butler Sherborn took over Hurley Lloyd Thorpe. This office also concentrated on Residential Estate Agency and Lettings.
