Home is the foundation for all of our lives. At Homes for Good we believe everyone deserves a home where they feel safe and happy.

Our Purpose

We want to transform the experience tenants and landlords have in the private rented sector, by taking exceptional care of people and property. Through creating a strong, successful letting agency and social property business we will inspire others in the industry to do the same, and be a catalyst for change across the UK and beyond.

Who are we?

HFG is a different kind of letting agency, and as a social enterprise, the first of its kind in Scotland. Over 5,000,000 people live in the private rented in the UK today. HFG was created in 2013, at a time when the letting industry was under the spotlight to up its game. We are proud of what we have achieved to date in making the private rented sector better for landlords and tenants across central Scotland, and inspiring others across the UK to do the same.
At HFG we seek to take exceptional care of both the landlords who choose to work with us, and the tenants who choose to live with us. We work hard to ensure we understand their needs and deliver on their expectations. Trust, clear communication and getting the details right are vital, and our values and way of working reflects this. We want everyone we work with to enjoy the experience, and feel safe and well served. As a social business, we will always put doing the right thing for our customers ahead of financial gain.

HFG offers landlords detailed rent valuations for their properties, clear guidance on current legislation and 72- hour turnaround on rent payments, along with careful tenant selection and advice on the property market.

For tenants, additional support ranging from accessing first time buyer advice, interior design tips, through to benefits, energy and social activities make up our unique tenants’ support model.

HFG has created its own portfolio of quality homes across the Greater Glasgow area working with a range of investment partners. This provides long term housing options for people who have limited choice within the private rented sector.

We have also created an in-house maintenance business, HFG Property Care, to ensure quality and value for money for our tenants and landlords, as well creating job opportunities for people facing unemployment.

The quality of the homes we manage and own really matters. We want the level of service we offer and our attention to detail to be the best it can be. We are not perfect, but we try very hard! We aim high to inspire others to do the same too, and we never stop challenging ourselves to be better.

We invest time and money in our training and professional development, keeping up to speed with current legislation, market trends and general business practice. We value and develop our community and industry networks to make sure we know what’s going on and benchmark ourselves against others in the social enterprise and property worlds. We are always learning, and you can rely on us to apply that knowledge in our work with you.

Everyone has different needs and opinions. We treat everyone fairly and we will work hard to find the right solution in any situation. And if we make a mistake, we will own it, put it right, no question, and learn from it.
