The Firm of Maltbys Chartered Surveyors was developed into its present format in 1990 as a result of a demerger from Prudential Property Services. The origin of the Firm was the founding of the Firm C M Maltby Chartered Surveyors by the present Principal’s Grandfather C M Maltby in 1894. The Firm was established in Knightsbridge, London SW1 and practiced for many years in Sloane Street. The Firm was continued by H V Maltby who expanded the Firm outside of London in to Purley and Dorking. Later with the help of his son Alan Maltby the present Principal of the Firm the area was expanded into Sussex. In 1987 as a result of a merger with the Prudential Properties Service Group the Firm of Maltbys ceased to exist until it was restarted in its present form in 1990. Now with offices in Gravesend, Folkestone, Canterbury and Bexhill it embraces Kent and East Sussex both for residential and commercial property expertise.
